Whta is the best technique?

If you ask Google or ChatGPT, “What techniques are used for liposuction?”, you’ll get a wide range of options. Most sources will categorize them into methods such as Suction-Assisted (Traditional), Tumescent (Water-Jet), Laser-Assisted, Ultrasound-Assisted, and Power-Assisted Liposuction.

Suction-Assisted Tumescent (Water-Jet) Laser-Assisted Ultrasound-Assisted Power-Assisted

Classic method where a thin tube (cannula) is inserted under the skin to manually break up and suction out fat.

Involves injecting a saline solution with lidocaine and epinephrine into the fat layer. This helps reduce bleeding, pain, and bruising.

Uses laser energy to liquefy fat cells before they’re removed. It also stimulates collagen production, which can lead to tighter skin (SmartLipo)

Uses ultrasonic vibrations to break up fat cells, making them easier to remove. This technique is especially effective in fibrous areas like the back or male chest.

Uses a vibrating cannula to speed up fat breakdown and suction. Especially useful in large volume procedures or areas where fat is more fibrous.

However, in real clinical practice, Suction-Assisted and Tumescent liposuction form the foundation of almost all modern techniques. Regardless of the equipment or advanced technology used during body sculpting, these two steps remain essential and irreplaceable.

  • Suction-Assisted Liposuction is responsible for physically removing the fat that has been loosened or broken down during the procedure.

  • Tumescent Solution Injection is a crucial preparatory step. It helps separate fat cells from surrounding tissues, reduces bleeding, and softens the fat, making it easier to suction or melt with additional devices such as lasers or ultrasound.

Wach Out : Marketing Fishing!

Liposuction, when performed by a skilled and experienced surgeon, is generally considered a relatively straightforward procedure—especially when compared to more complex surgeries like rhinoplasty or osteoplasty. However, like any medical treatment, it still comes with its own limitations and potential complications.

In recent years, with the rise of non-invasive aesthetic treatments in cosmetology, public demand for liposuction has seen a slight decline. As a result, many clinics find themselves wondering: How can we attract more patients for liposuction?

This question has led to a wave of flashy marketing terms like “3D” or “5D Liposuction,” “No Scars,” “No Swelling,” and so on. But are these promises truly realistic?

Of course, using tools like an endoscope, CT scan, or X-ray can enhance precision in certain procedures. But do they significantly improve the outcome of liposuction? Rarely.

An endoscope can be useful in procedures like abdominoplasty, where muscle repair is involved and direct visualization is beneficial. However, in the case of liposuction, the use of an endoscope offers little to no advantage. In fact, inserting an additional tube into the surgical port may actually hinder the surgeon’s performance by reducing maneuverability.

For liposuction, real-time ultrasound monitoring is more than sufficient. It provides effective visualization of fat layers and ensures safe, accurate fat removal—without the need for extra invasive equipment.

Fresh Clinic : What is really matter ?

Based on my 15+ years of experience and over 10,000 liposuction cases, I’d like to share my top 3 key points for a truly successful liposuction procedure.

Skillful Hands Above All

No clinic reputation, size, or fancy equipment can replace the value of a surgeon’s hands-on skill. Real expertise comes from practice, not just board certification. A surgeon might have 30 years of general experience but performed only 100 liposuction cases. Compare that to another who has done 1,000 liposuctions in just one year—who would you trust more?
It’s the ability to feel the subtle pressure of the cannula, to sense where blood vessels are, and to make precise movements. This kind of intuition only comes from doing it—over and over again.

Focused, Patient-Centered Care

Liposuction—especially in areas like the abdomen—takes about 1.5 hours of intense, non-stop, high-concentration work. It is physically and mentally demanding.
That’s why surgeons should limit the number of patients they see in a day. In smaller clinics, where doctors focus on just a few patients per day, the quality of the procedure is often much higher. There’s more time, more focus, and better results.

Aesthetic Sense & Surgical Harmony

Liposuction is not just about removing fat—it’s about shaping the body. The difference between good and great results often lies in a surgeon’s sense of balance and proportion.
There’s a fine line between removing enough fat and taking too much. Uneven reduction can easily happen without the right touch. Combining different techniques is like conducting a symphony—each tool, each method, must work in harmony to create the most natural and beautiful result.
